XESS Year 2000 (Y2K) Compliance
XESS Version 4 (Xess97)
XESS V4.0.3 and beyond is fully Y2K compliant with the following century support:
- Maximum year is 3999.
- 2 and 4-digit years are recognized on direct date input or date function
arguments. 2-digit years are automatically converted to 4-digit year
references; in this case, the current century as defined by the system
date/time is assumed.
- All sheets are saved with 4-digit year references.
- When older sheets are loaded which contain 2-digit year references,
these year references are automatically converted to 4-year references.
XESS Version 3
XESS V3.1.1e and beyond is mostly Y2K compliant with the following century support:
- Maximum year is 2099.
- 2 and 4-digit years are recognized on direct date input or date function
arguments (except for @YEAR). 2-digit years are automatically converted to
4-digit year references; in this case, the current century as defined by
the system date/time is assumed.
- All sheets are saved with 4-digit year references.
- When older sheets are loaded which contain 2-digit year references,
these year references are automatically converted to 4-year references.
